Abstract

The collection The Seven Veils explores a fantasy centered on an enigmatic woman—silent yet powerful—who resides by the sea and captivates men with her dark, piercing gaze. She dons garments of black wool and silk, featuring intricate lacework and seamless dresses that embrace her figure like a soft yet unyielding armor. Drawing inspiration from Belgian symbolist painter Léon Spilliaert and the story of The French Lieutenant's Woman, the collection includes creations crafted from a single piece of fabric and glistening evening gowns. The woman who wears these pieces is alluring and seductive, akin to a bird of paradise, yet imbued with danger. Solitary and veiled in melancholy, this coastal siren exudes an aura capable of engulfing anyone who ventures too close. She embodies the duality of a femme fatale and a rare, exotic bird, with garments skillfully draped to enhance her mystique.
